Junior Jumpstart is a conference open to all Washington University students. This year's event will be held in-person on Thursday, May 11, 2023

Junior Jumpstart is designed to help current Juniors navigate their next steps after Washington University. It is perfect for students who know what they want to do next, as well as those who are completely undecided.

Junior Jumpstart contains a myriad of sessions that offer:

  • advice from young alumni who have broken into competitive fields;
  • tips and timelines for medical, law, and graduate school applications;
  • resume and interviewing techniques from HR professionals;
  • information on national scholarship and fellowship opportunities;
  • financial management;
  • networking opportunities;
  • and much more!

Speaker Spotlight

Meet Steven Kish. Steven, a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company and 2021 WashU graduate, is excited to join this year's Junior Jumpstart program to help students who are grappling with how they might approach post-graduate life. No two paths are the same and Steven believes we all have the power to draw on our pasts to thrive in our futures. His experience as a WashU student coupled with his passions outside of the classroom prepared him well for his chosen first step in his career, and he cannot wait to share a bit about his journey with current students at this year's event.
