Stefanie Boese, PhD has been teaching in the College Writing Program since 2014. Prior to coming to St. Louis, she lived and worked in Chicago, where she completed her PhD in English at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her doctoral research focused on contemporary fiction and the effect of historical injury on present-day discussions of global social and political injustice. Her research has been published in Studies in American Fiction, Journal of Modern Literature, and Critique. She has taught courses in British Literature, Literary Theory, and Composition.
