Nuria Alcaide Garcia is currently teaching Beginning Spanish courses (101). Nuria holds two BAs in English and in Hispanic Philology, and two MAs in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from the University of Granada (Spain) and in Hispanic Studies from Washington University in St. Louis. As a graduate student, she focused her studies on Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition. Her MA dissertation, Difficulties in the learning of Spanish grammatical gender by Estonian students, addresses the challenges and problems in the acquisition process of this grammatical aspect.
She has been a Spanish instructor in different Spanish language schools in Spain and Estonia. During her MA at WashU, she taught Intermediate Spanish courses (202) and Spanish Advanced Reading and Writing (308).
