Willkommen bei den Hartmanns: Germanic Film Series
The Spring 2019 Germanic Film Series is based on the theme of "living at the threshold."
February's film (Welcome to Germany) directed by Simon Verhoeven, is about a well-off Munich family who offers boarding to a refugee. Diallo from Nigeria soon makes friends among the family members, but they are tested when they have to face racism, bureaucracy and terror suspicions because of him.
All films will be shown in German with English subtitles. Pizza, sodas, and snacks will be served, and a discussion will occur after the viewing.
