Environmental Studies Across the Arts and Sciences

Environmental Studies Across the Arts and Sciences

How do the sciences and the humanities work together to further environmental studies in the modern university? What possibilities exist? What has worked well in the past? What kinds of classes, programs, events, or courses of study can and do bridge the arts and sciences to further our understanding of environmental issues as inherently interdisciplinary? Join us for a discussion of these and related questions on Friday, February 7, at 2pm in the Women’s Building Formal Lounge. Barbara Schaal, Mary-Dell Chilton Distinguished Professor of Biology and Dean of the Faculty of Arts & Sciences, will join Susan Scott Parrish, who is Professor in the Department of English and the Program in the Environment at the University of Michigan.

Reception to follow. This event is hosted by American Culture Studies.

Please RSVP to Terri Behr by Monday, February 3rd.
