Americanist Dinner Forum: Susan Scott Parrish Guest

This month's presenter will be Susan Scott Parrish, Professor in the Department of English and the Program in the Environment at the University of Michigan.  Her research addresses the interrelated issues of race, the environment, and knowledge-making in the Atlantic world from the seventeenth up through the mid-twentieth century, with a particular emphasis on southern and Caribbean plantation zones.

RSVPs are due to Terri Behr by Friday, January 31st.

The Americanist Dinner Fora are the flagship intellectual event for the AMCS community. Each month features a new set of speakers exploring a topic relevant to American Studies through the medium of a selected reading. The reading will be circulated the week prior. AMCS PhD Certificate students are expected to attend each of the fora, and AMCS MA students and AMCS Faculty are strongly encouraged to attend.
