Alumni and Friends Event: The Living Earth Collaborative With International Biodiversity Expert Jonathan Losos

Lions and tigers and bears. Oh my! And whales and redwoods and dandelions. Surprisingly little is known about many of the species with which we share the world, even as many are imperiled by climate change, deforestation, pollution, and other causes. In response, Washington University has paired with internationally renowned institutions, the Saint Louis Zoo and the Missouri Botanical Garden, to create the Living Earth Collaborative to advance the study and conservation of the natural world. Join Jonathan Losos, director of the Living Earth Collaborative, for a conversation about the center and his own research in evolutionary biology. Beanie Spangler, AB ’94, will moderate this discussion, with a Q&A to follow.
