I am a fourth year graduate student in the PNP program. I received my BA in Philosophy and Psychology at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas.

My research is in the philosophical issues related to cognitive development. I am particularly interested in the normative constraints on a theory of concept acquisition, the role of language and linguistic knowledge in children's cognitive development, and on the differences between theories of learning and theories of development.

I work in Rebecca Treiman's Reading and Language Lab in the Psychology Department. This summer I have been teaching Philosophy of Cognitive Science. In the Fall, I will be a TA for Mind, Brain, and Behavior.
