Rituals and Routines Survey - A Short
Questionnaire
In this very short questionnaire, we ask
you to tell us about the rituals and routines that are part of your OCD
symptoms. These may consist in mental routines (counting, adding), in
special ways of washing oneself or cleaning objects, in hoarding
objects, checking locks and car doors, etc. It is important for
researchers to understand exactly how these rituals are organized. All
this information is treated as anonymous confidential.
To get started, read the Description of Research below, then click the
Informed Consent button, then answer the other questions! We THANK YOU
for taking the time to answer these questions.

Goals of this research. This
survey is undertaken by Pr Pascal Boyer, Washington University in St
Louis. The goal is to evaluate common features in the ritualized
behaviors and other routines performed by people diagnosed with
obsessive-compulsive disorder, or who self-identify as suffering from
this condition.
Methods. You will be asked to answer questions about demographic
information (age & gender) as well as details of the rituals and
routines you perform. This should not take more than 10 to 15 minutes
of your time.
Please note that this is not a clinical interview. The only benefit of
participation is to help in understanding OCD symptoms in general, not
to offer any guidance or assistance with these symptoms. For further
details about this research, please email Pascal Boyer at
pboyer@wustl.edu. There are no known risks associated with this
research. Your participation is entirely voluntary and you may choose
not to participate in this study or withdraw your consent at any time.
If you wish to talk with someone else or if you have questions about
your rights as a research participant, please call Dr. Philip Ludbrook,
