| Competition Format for 2004 |
| All selected plays will be workshopped over a two-week period with a guest dramaturg and director in Fall 2004. The workshop process will culminate in a public reading of each play during two nights of presentations. All plays selected will receive a cash award (Full lengths, $100; one-acts, $50; ten-minute, $25.). The Performing Arts Department will produce a World Premiere play by a student writer(s) in the 2004-2005 season. That play will be selected from Hotchner submissions from the 2003 & 2004 A. E. Hotchner Competitions. SUBMISSION PROCEDURES:
2. Scripts must be typed and bound (no glue or spiral bindings please) 3. Title page must include author contact information and email. 4. Scripts must be turned into the Performing Arts Department Office, in Mallinckrodt (2nd floor), by Friday, January 23rd , 4pm. 5. The winning playwrights will be announced in March 2003. 6.
