Preparing to Go Abroad

You will be required to register for Study Abroad 101 during the semester immediately preceding your time abroad.

Also, please refer to the following Overseas Programs publications to help you prepare:

• Overseas Programs Handbook
• Know Before You Go: Developing Intercultural Competence

You will be given a copy of each of these publications in class and topics will be covered throughout the semester. Don't forget to take them with you when you go! But please note that they are always available on this website if you do not have access to your hard copy.

Program Specific Handbooks

Some WU programs have separate program handbooks which may be distributed and discussed during relevant Study Abroad 101 subsections. They are always available on the website for your reference:
