John Heil

John Heil’s research interests center on metaphysics and the philosophy of mind. His most recent publications include Philosophy of Mind: A Guide and Introduction (Oxford, 2004); Philosophy of Mind: A Contemporary Introduction 2d ed (Routledge, 2004); From an Ontological Point of View (Oxford, 2003); The Nature of True Minds (Cambridge, 1992), First-Order Logic (Wadsworth, 1994); Rationality, Morality, and Self-Interest (Rowman and Littlefield, 1993); and (with Alfred Mele) Mental Causation (Oxford, 1993). He is North American Editor of The Philosophical Quarterly; and he is currently working on papers in metaphysics and the philosophy of mind. (Director’s CV.)
