Concert Choir
John Stewart, director

The Washington University Concert Choir draws its membership from the best singers in the Washington University community. Students from the schools of Art and Architecture, Law, Business, Medicine, Engineering as well as Arts and Sciences participate in a season which includes three appearances in Graham Chapel as well as concerts off campus in and outside of St. Louis. A highlight of the year is the Annual Chancellor's Concert, a joint appearance with the Washington University Symphony Orchestra, held in the spring in the E. Desmond Lee Concert Hall. The choir's musical diet is a diverse one, including music from four centuries, sacred and secular, folk songs and spirituals, a capella and accompanied. Two units of course credit can be earned by choir membership, or choir can be counted as an activity.

Rehearsals: Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tietjens Rehearsal Hall, Room 4

Auditions are held the first Thursday of the fall semester, and in the spring. Occasionally singers are added at the beginning of the second semester. Please visit the Audition Information page. For the audition, please be prepared to sing a song, and have your range and ear tested. Click here for the complete Concert Choir schedule!
