Chamber Orchestra

The Chamber Orchestra gives a concert at the beginning of each semester. The group is made up of players from the Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Ensembles, and the repertoire is string orchestra form baroque, classical, romantic, and modern styles. Students are given leadership and solo opportunities, and the concerts are conducted by Elizabeth Macdonald. Auditions for the Chamber Orchestra, and for other string groups at Washington University, are at the beginning of the school year and are scheduled through the Department of Music.
