Research Interests:
My research interests are in the field of health economics.  Currently, I am examining interactions between Ambulatory Surgery Centers and hospitals.  In another area, Donald Nichols and I are examining State Children's Health Insurance Programs (SCHIP) and how anti-crowd out measures in those programs may lead to a temporary increase in the number of uninsured children.  Working drafts of these papers can be accessed below.

Current Research:

Does the Profitability of an Outpatient Procedure Influence Where it is Performed?  A Look at Ambulatory Surgery Centers and Hospitals.

The Reality of SCHIP and Uninsureds: Do SCHIP Mandatory Wait Periods Increase the Uninsured Rolls?
