STUDENT PAPERS
The following papers are
written by Washington University students

In response to the First

of students attempted their hands at "the day-in-the-life" exercise.
Others
wrote on the development of Buddhism; and a smaller number compared
the Heian with the later Medieval periods. Whereas all the papers
submitted for this assignment were outstanding, the following were
particularly noteworthy:
Topic One: Defining the Aristocrat and the Warrior
Topic
Two: A Day in the Life
Topic Three: Buddhist Developments
