1. Create a map for your course site and design the layout for the homepage.

Now that you have seen several course sites and thought about how they are structured, you are better prepared to start planning your own site. In order to determine your site map, you first need to establish clear objectives and limits for what your site will do. This planning template will help you set the parameters of your project by asking you to consider the priorities of your course.

Course goals
What are the goals of my course?
What traditional methods could I use to achieve this goal?
Course site elements
How can a course site help me and my students achieve these goals?
  • knowledge of wine
  • magazine articles, newspaper articles
  • quizzes
  • book for students to buy
  • tastings
  • knowledge of wineries, type of wines and grapes
• online quizzes, official history of wine in history books
• links to sites of wine countries, wineries, and wine related sources from various nations

2. Bring two images and four links to useful sites for the resources page. Be sure to save the URL of the site from which you save images so that you can properly credit your sources.
