Don't forget -- our first meeting is this Friday, September 5 at 4:00 in January Hall Room 30. January Hall is between Eads and Wilson. The agenda and calendar for the year are now on-line on our web site, www.artsci.wustl.edu/~gss For those of you interested in meeting people on campus and participating in other activities, the Office of Student Activities is sponsoring an Activity Fair tomorrow afternoon, September 3, from 4:30-6:30 in front of Olin Library. Graduate students are welcome to attend and talk to students at information tables promoting their groups. Many traditionally undergraduate groups are open to graduate participation, so go and see what's out there! Tell your friends! Both events are open to all graduate students in Arts & Sciences, so as always, feel free to forward this email to those you represent! See you Friday, Susan From smahan@hbar.wustl.eduThu Mar 26 11:51:04 1998 Date: Tue, 2 Sep 1997 18:20:22 -0500 (CDT) From: "Susan E. Mahan" To: GSS Senators Subject: [gssenators] Are you online? The Issues committee met on Monday. Rob Hermann, History, is the new Issues chair. They are hard at work on several issues, including library renewal policies, parking spaces, and the revised shuttle schedule. If you are personally affected by the new shuttle schedule, please send me a paragraph of your comments. That will be VERY useful in further communication. Mahan" To: GSS Senators Subject: [gssenators] Notes Dear Senators, A flyer announcing the next Graduate Student Senate meeting is in the mail (campus mail) to each of you. Please post it in your department and encourage friends or classmates to attend the meeting with you. We'll be dealing with substantial issues, including Housing, Shuttle Service, and the Lecture Series. Please bring your comments about all three issues to the meeting on Friday, September 26 (4pm, January Hall Room 30). The Housing Committee will meet at 4:00 today in the Hilltop Bakery. All Senate members and non-members are welcome to attend. The Activities Committee met last week and chose a coordinator for each event -- Reception, Symposium, Lecture Series -- as well as a coordinator for Intermural Sports. Those names will be made public on our web pages soon. If you would like to receive updates about activities in Congress, please let me know and I will forward those to you about once a week. Rob Hermann will be sending you an update about the Shuttle situation. If you are very upset about the new schedule or very happy about it, please send comments to him via email. I think that's about it. Susan From smahan@hbar.wustl.eduThu Mar 26 11:56:33 1998 Date: Fri, 19 Sep 1997 18:05:24 -0500 (CDT) From: "Susan E.
