Biographical Information
Daniel Grausam’s research interests are modern and contemporary American literature, with a focus on the fiction and culture of the Cold War. He is currently completing On Endings: Postmodern American Fiction and the Cold War, in which he argues that this body of fiction should be read as a systematic response to the problems of narration and historical time produced by the possibility of total nuclear war. Other interests include the relationship between crime fiction and political history, contemporary critical theory and philosophy, and the legacies (environmental, ideological, demographic, and economic) of the Cold War. His articles have appeared or are forthcoming in the journals Clio and Postmodern Culture.
