THE FLOATING WORLD
IN JAPANESE LITERATURE

Enter the world of 17th-Century Japan—a world of puppet theaters and painted actors.  Travel with a haiku master on the narrow road to the deep north, and witness the fateful adventures of “women who loved love.”

Enter the world of 19th-Century Japan—a world on the edge of modernity.  Roam from one way station to the next on “shank’s mare,” and enjoy the ghostly tales of “moonlight and rain.”  The tour departs every Monday and Wednesday at 2:30. Prince Hall 232
