Faculty of Arts & Sciences Office

Ralph, the Interim Dean of Arts & Sciences, is responsible for the appointment, promotion, recommendation of tenure, and salary of all faculty members; as well as the appointments of the Deans of the College, the Graduate School, and University College. He oversees all academic, financial, and administration aspects of Arts & Sciences, including the development and implementation of strategic plans for faculty, students, and facilities.

Roddy works on special projects within Arts & Sciences. He is a close advisor to the Dean of Arts & Sciences, department chairs, and members of the Academic Planning Committee. As a former chair of the Department of Psychology, he has an important perspective on building strong academic programs. In addition, Roddy remains active in teaching and research in the Department of Psychology and is the James S. McDonnell Distinguished University Professor.

Dennis' primary areas of responsibility include academic planning, budget, and technology management. He is a key advisor for such groups as the Arts & Sciences Academic Planning Committee, and works closely with department chairs and program directors. He also oversees Arts & Sciences Computing, which provides instructional technology services to students, faculty, and staff.

Larry is a key link between the Dean of Arts & Sciences and the operational and budgetary aspects of the departments and programs in Arts & Sciences. He provides support on fiscal matters related to current-year operations and long-term planning, including financial projections and the development and identification of resources to achieve short- and long-term goals.

As director of Science Outreach, Vicki works closely with the science faculty to improve teaching and learning in K-12 schools. A strong believer in the power of partnerships among universities, science education organizations and schools, she has developed programs to help all students learn science through investigation and exploration.

Lynn provides analysis to support policy and planning, including regular reporting on faculty and student trends, comparative data and special reports on ad hoc issues. She coordinates University participation in institutional research data exchanges with the AAU Data Exchange, the COFHE IR group, and the Association of Institutional Researchers.
