2015 Distinguished Alumni Awards

On March 19, 2015, we celebrated the achievements and generosity of five Arts & Sciences alumni, who each represent the best aspects of a Washington University liberal arts education.

Meet The 2015 Recipients

David P. Conner, AB ’74

David Conner is an international businessman in banking who has been hailed as one of the best CEOs in Asia and a driver of economic development in Singapore. He is a philanthropist and Washington University Trustee who has developed relationships for faculty and students throughout China, Japan, Singapore, and India. Hear David's Story.

Alice E. Conway, AB ’76, MA ’79, JD ’83, PhD ’83

Alice Conway is a trained vocalist, fluent in multiple languages (including Braille), and a trusted commercial and employment attorney for Monsanto. She holds four degrees from WU and is a committed volunteer and donor. Hear Alice's Story.

Wilfred R. Konneker, PhD ’50

Wilfred Konneker holds degrees in chemistry, math, and nuclear physics and was a pioneer in nuclear medicine and radiopharmaceuticals. Throughout his career, he founded or co-founded numerous successful companies and ran the pharmaceutical division of Mallinckrodt. He is an emeritus Trustee and one of the original members of the Arts & Sciences National Council as well as a supporter of professorships and scholarships. Hear Wilfred's Story.

Stephen H. Lockhart, AB ’77

Stephen Lockhart is an anesthesiologist, healthcare executive, former Rhodes Scholar, and national leader in environmental conservation who supports scholarships for WU students. Hear Stephen's Story.

Monique M. Williams, AB ’95, MD ’99, MS ’08

Monique Williams holds undergraduate and medical degrees from WU, as well as a WU graduate medical degree in clinical investigation. She focuses on Alzheimer’s research and diabetes and has been influential in outreach to African-American communities. Hear Monique's Story.
