Congratulations to the 1999 Arts & Sciences Distinguished Alumni. The Distinguished Alumni Awards honor alumni who exemplify the ideals embodied by an Arts & Sciences education. Those being honored have attained distinction in their academic or professional careers and have demonstrated service to their communities and to Washington University.

The Dean's Medal is awarded to a special friend whose dedication and support have been exceptional and whose leadership, advice, and inspiration have served to place Arts & Sciences at the heart of one of the world's premier universities.
