He was the little blond-haired boy in the iconic picture of children being liberated from the Auschwitz concentration camp. He was one of the lucky ones who made it out alive. Michael Bornstein never wished to talk about what his early life was like, until he discovered some shocking revelations about why he was spared. It was then Bornstein found out how incredibly lucky he was.

In his memoir, Survivors Club: The True Story of a Very Young Prisoner of Auschwitz, co-authored with his daughter, Washington University alumna and MSNBC producer Debbie Bornstein Holinstat, the retired Johnson & Johnson executive shares his thrilling story with the world.
