Curriculum Committee
This Committee reviews undergraduate curriculum of The College of Arts & Sciences, and may recommend to any credit-granting unit of The College the addition, deletion, or modification of courses and academic programs. Proposals for the Committee should be received by the first day of the semester, to ensure they can be included in course listings for the following semester. Review Committee on Faculty Personnel Procedures
A candidate for the award of tenure or promotion within tenured ranks who has been considered and rejected by his or her Department or by the Dean of Arts & Sciences may, within 21 days after receiving written notification of the reasons for such rejection, request the Committee examine whether or not the Department; the Dean; and the Advisory Committee on Tenure, Promotion, and Personnel have followed established University procedures permitting adequate and fair consideration of the case.

The Senate Council is often viewed as the governing body for the Faculty Senate. It consists of 15 elected faculty members, who assess present University policies relating to matters of University-wide concern and to academic personnel.

The Washington University Board of Trustees consists of approximately 55 men and women who are from the corporate, professional, educational, governmental, and volunteer sectors. Professor of the Practice Committee
The Professor of the Practice committee carries out the functions required from the Policy for Professor of the Practice Appointments in Arts & Sciences, dated February 16, 2008.
This Committee is responsible for evaluating the dossiers and preparing a summary evaluation for each candidate. The Dean of the Faculty of Arts & Sciences will review the dossiers and the evaluations of the committee and make final decisions on Professors of the Practice appointments.
