Graduate Online Lecture ProjectThe Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Washington University has developed a new initiative for showcasing graduate student research online. The Graduate Online Lecture Project provides the technical training, resources and support necessary for developing online multimedia presentations that demonstrate a critical knowledge of how technology informs pedagogy and research. At root, this project serves as a dynamic forum for graduate students from a variety of disciplines to collaborate and share knowledge with one another while developing professional skills for communicating highly specialized research to audiences in and beyond their academic fields.Advanced graduate students have compelling stories to share with a variety of potential audiences: prospective employers, colleagues, alumni, and others. Telling these stories effectively using online media can raise their own profiles together with those of their departments, the Graduate School, and the University. The Graduate School invites any A&S graduate student to submit proposals for online multimedia projects based on their research or another professional topic (ex. teaching with technology).
