The Washington University Board of Trustees is seeking two non-voting graduate student representatives to the Board of Trustees 2008-2009. As part of the application process, each student is asked to supply two letters of recommendation: (at least one must be a faculty member or administration representative from the student's School and the second from another member of the Washington University Community).

A graduate student representative to the Board of Trustees must be a full-time graduate student in residence (May 2008 through May 2009), be in good academic standing, and be able to make the time commitment necessary. In addition, it is important that the graduate student representative have knowledge of graduate study at Washington University, be articulate, be able to present a variety of options, have sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and hold the respect of peers, of the faculty, and others who know the graduate student representative. The graduate student representative should also maintain close communication with the several graduate and professional student constituencies within the Washington University community, such as the Professional and Graduate Student Coordinating Committee (ProGradS) and Graduate Professional Council (GPC).

 Please use this form to comment briefly on how you would compare the graduate student applicant with other students you know. It has been important that the graduate student representative have knowledge of graduate study at Washington University, be articulate, be able to present a variety of opinions, have sound judgement, maintain confidentiality, and hold the respect of peers, of the faculty, and others who know the graduate student representative. Also feel free to add any additional information that you believe pertinent and that will assist the selection committee.
