Cultural Transmission
Workshop
January 13-15, Washington University in St. Louis The
question is whether we can build a viable model of cultural
transmission that would integrate: [a] models of quantitative
meme-transmission inspired by population
genetics, [b] evolutionary models of domain-specific dispositions for
particular
kinds of cultural material, and [c] anthropological evidence for the
extent and limits of cultural
variation.
