The Korean Language Program in the ANELL Department at Washington University offers an excellent curriculum in the Korean language with three full years of modern Korean courses. Our program attracts students with diverse backgrounds from every WU campus including WU graduate school as well as other universities in metro St. Louis area. The faculty / student ratio is small, and students receive great individual attention, making learning both fun and meaningful. While our students focus on the balanced development of four language skills (speaking, listening, writing, reading), they also learn Korean culture through a variety of activities such as reading, viewing video /films, and playing traditional and contemporary Korean games. Our program’s primary goal is to promote accuracy and fluency in oral and written language as well as an understanding of Korean culture as reflected in the language.
