Washington University in St. Louis will host the 56th MCAA from October 19-21, 2007,
on the Washington University campus. We invite submissions from all academic disciplines on topics examining Asia and its sub-regions.
The proposal and early-registration deadlines have past.

All classrooms are equipped with a
multimedia system including: PC computer with laptop connectivity, DVD,
VCR, date projector with screen and overhead projector.
Holmes Lounge is located in Ridgley Hall.
Highlights of the conference include:
The Keynote Address by AAS President Dr.
Elizabeth Perry, Harvard University, on Friday, October 19 at 4pm,
followed by the Welcome Reception with open bar in Holmes Lounge.
The Friday
night performance of Japanese puppetry and music in
Treasured Tales: Traditional Japanese Narrative
Song featuring shinnai master and Living National Treasure Tsuruga
Wakasanojo XI, and the 5th generation headmaster of Hachioji Kuruma
Ningyo, Nishikawa Koryu. Performance is free. Click
